AJ and Jong are out and Holly, Cody, and Jerry Bo are in for this edition of the Blitz as the second hour starts with everyone making their picks for the last season of the NFL. With Jerry Bo from Moneyline producing, most of the hour is spent looking at interesting gambling plays and odds from around the NFL. And to wrap things up the gang looks at the top 5 movies of 2018.

AJ is on vacation so Fred is joined by Holly and Cody today as the gang torments Jerry Bo who is behind the glass in place of Jong as he tries to get through the show without a hitch. The group gets into some NFL talk including a look at the Texans and Holly’s Eagles before Fred and Cody debate the merits of bringing an NHL franchise to Houston. To wrap up the final hour Fred grills Holly on whether the Eagles should maintain their two-headed monster of both Wentz and Foles if the Eagles should make the playoffs.

The guys get the final hour of the show rolling with guest college football analyst Brad Powers from pregame.com calling in to discuss some bowl games, gambling, and the much anticipated CFB playoffs. Then Fred and Jong are joined by local comedian Ku Egenti to talk some sports, movies and plug some of his shows including his upcoming Ku and Friends show at the Houston Improv Jan. 23rd. The guys wrap up the hour by grading how well Jerry Bo from Moneyline did as the interim producer for the Blitz as Jong is in the studio for AJ who is on vacation.

The guys get the second hour rolling by taking an in-depth look at the UH coaching hires and the coordinators that have come and gone, as well as what kind of coordinators Coach Applewhite should set his eye on to enhance the program. The guys then get into some college football playoffs talk and break down what players will have the ability to make an instant impact on a team in the pros. Fred and Jong then go into a discussion about which divisions have been the best in the NFL in recent years and which divisions have been consistently mediocre. To wrap things the guys look at what quarterbacks and franchise players teams should move on from in the upcoming offseason.

AJ is on vacation so Jong is in the studio with Fred and Jerry Bo from Moneyline is behind the glass as the guys discuss that no fill in producer besides Tyler has done a great job on the show but Jerry has a great chance with Jong coaching him through producing the greatest show on earth. The guys get the show going by discussing their own personal winning streak coming to an end as they fall out of the number one spot in ratings for the first time in a year and transition to the teams in the NFL that could be dealing with their own shortcomings as they fight for the wild card spots during the last week of the regular season. Fred tells Jong about an exciting top 10 Houston Athletes list that he published for 2018 and has Jong guess which 10 people made the cut. To wrap things up the guys discuss bowl games and whether or not they are meaningless to most teams.

Fred and AJ open up the third hour talking about the defenses in the NFL and where each rank. They talk about how difficult it would be for Lincoln Riley to jump from Oklahoma to the NFL. The guys talk about where quarterbacks rank in the NFL outside the pocket. They also go over if Week 17 in the NFL will be very meaningful. Fred and AJ finish the show with Famous Deaths.

Fred and AJ kick off the second hour and go over early NFL lines. The guys also talk about Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert's decision to stay for his senior year and why it's a mistake. Fred and AJ discuss the future of Major Applewhite and how bad he's done in hiring coordinators. They conclude the hour by talking about where James Harden ranks in the NBA right now.

Fred, AJ and Jong open up the show and talk about getting new puppies. Fred's new puppy pukes all over him while they nap. The guys talk about the NFL Playoff scenario and who'd they take if the playoffs started. The guys all lean towards taking the head coach with playoff experience over the other teams. The Bench's Lance Zierlein joins the show to talk about the Houston Texans and what to expect in the playoffs and they discuss the rest of the NFL.

The guys are at Nicks Place for the Gow Media Christmas party, and the third hour gets rolling with the guys being joined Pregame.com’s RJ Bell to talk a little gambling and describe how a lot of their statistics work. The guys then go on to talk about some of the teams still in the playoff hunt in the NFL and dive deep in to what teams may be performing well but can get figured out over an offseason a la this year’s Ravens with Lamar Jackson. Then the guys wrap up the hour with their Stupid Stuff segment before they sign off with an update on how the company Christmas party is going.

The second hour starts with the guys talking about how some of their predictions panned out throughout the year as the guys are at the Gow Media holiday party at Nick’s place. The guys address who all is at the party and who came but left early, and the guys then get into some of the upcoming college football bowl games. The guys talk some NFL and look at the matchups coming in to the second to last week of the season. Fred and AJ discuss the baseball tactic of Shifting and look at some comments made about officials from around baseball on the topic. The guys wrap up the hour with the last Zadok Gem of the day before Christmas!
