The Michigan Wolverines are expecting a couple five-stars and a ton of other highly regarded prospects to visit Ann Arbor this weekend for their yearly BBQ at the Big House. With this weekend being the final opportunity for the coaching staff to spend some quality time with prospects before fall camp begins in August, this is a pivotal weekend to try and get some commitments heading into the season.

Georgia has won the last two college football national championships, so it's a natural question to wonder who can dethrone them. Last weekend, the Michigan Wolverines missed out on a top target of theirs at the wide receiver position in the 2024 class — four-star Jordan Shipp. A teammate of Jadyn Davis’, Shipp would have paired up nicely with him and the two wideout commits — Channing Goodwin and I’Marion Stewart — the Wolverines have in this recruiting cycle.

But with five-star Ryan Wingo announcing his commitment in late December, and elite target Gatlin Bair still have yet to make his decision, the cupboard isn’t completely bare for Michigan in this cycle. Von Lozon and Tyler Sealey discuss that and more recruiting news in today’s Future Blue.

There were some mixed feelings surrounding a report that the Michigan Wolverines have implemented a “Beat Georgia” drill into their practices, similar to the “Beat Ohio State” drill the team started a few years ago.
