The BlokeBusters Podcast

In this episode of BlokeBusters, we take it upon ourselves to watch Dredd 3D on opening day so we can report back to you our findings. We talk about the plot, the 3D aspect, our own opinions on the film and also a discussion on why should we use 3D in film at all.Did we think it was a good film? Did we like the 3D? Did we get our money's worth? All shall be revealed (at least, if you haven't already guessed from the title) and plenty more besides!

In this episode of BlokeBusters, we talk (a little belatedly) about ourselves. We cover how we first started getting interested in film, a little about our backgrounds and our film viewing history growing up.

Then we move oh-so-swiftly onto two films which really sparked our interests in the field of cinema. Paul spends his 2 cents on Road To Perdition, a film which started him really thinking about why he loved film, while Brian puts his memory ray to good use by recalling exactly why Apollo 13 was such an eye opener for him in his youth. And, of course, some tangent-ing may occur along the way.

Once again, special thanks to Retrodude666 for the awesome job he did with the music. The editing is simply our doing and should not reflect on him!

This is the premier podcast from BlokeBusters. We are two Blokes (well, one Bloke and one Guy) who sit and talk about Film. New releases, old favourites and anything else we can think of. Thank you for giving us a listen, I'm sure we won't disappoint. For our first outing, we thought we'd talk about The Dark Knight Rises, the third instalment of the Batman films from Christopher Nolan. We talk about the first 2, and how they lead into the story of this one. We talk about initial reactions, most of the characters and the occasional plot point. Spoiler Alert We will be talking about the whole film, so do not listen unless you've already seen it or do not care.

(Edit from the future: Yes, this was our first ever episode that we recorded. We did not want to record without releasing it, and.... it shows. It was our first recording, Paul's first time ever editing audio and made using the best mic that little money could buy. But I promise, we got much better at it all as we went on. And yes, that ridiculous rating system does go away. In about 80 episodes. Yay!)
