The BLPA Big Show

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. The BLPA crew did and now it’s time to move right in to New Year’s resolutions. Cara and Trish join Nick to chat about world juniors, scoring with titties, and some new BLPA projects. Speaking of… have you checked my beerleaguedb?

You’ve got a lot of grievances, and we’re going to air them on this Festivus episode of The Big Show. Nick and Trish talk NWHL finals, upcoming BLPA tournaments, and how Hilary Knight blew off the Commish. As our holiday gift to you, we chat with Dustin “Bones” Smith about facing shots in retro gear and pit him head to head with Nick in a trivia battle.

All you need to turn yourself into a solo dancing, jump kicking, hockey badass is a little Draft Experience Moonshine. Just ask guest co-host Danny Vibes. Nick, Trish, and Danny Vibes cover nipples. There’s also some blasphemous Letterkenny talk and hints that Nicky Commish is, in fact, involved with the hockey illuminati. Any one else think the new Mighty Ducks in gonna be trash?

New Co-host Alert .... and just in time. Trish Dangle joins Nick from Chicago-land and brings with her an extensive beer league resume. Trish is hazed with locker room poop stories before she is allowed to ask poignant questions about the Draft Experiences and BLPA Bash events. Nick and Trish talk NHL re-alignment and NHL “stats” playing hockey in the beer leagues. Enjoy the Sh*t Show.

The Nick & Co show is joined today by a viral Tik Tok beer league hockey player (and dare enthusiast) from Calgary, Cara Di Bella.

Cara has been around hockey her whole life and was discovered by Nick doing what beer leaguers do… Chugging Beer.

Nick chats about upcoming BLPA Badassery and the story behind the greatest beer league goal celly in history, The Cheeseburger Celly. Cara joins the party to talk becoming Tik Tok famous, whether goalies should pay, locker room stories, and how to run a BLPA’s Got Talent Co-Host Search.

Riding around in the RV hosting hockey events isn’t something Nick thought he’d be doing when he was a kid. Nick dreamed of being a famous ball player or even a touring rock star. Who didn’t eh? Well neither of those happened so we brought in a couple touring rockstars to talk about life on the road.

Nick chats with John Nemeth of the Drones and ex- ACHA Div 2 hockey player and Mark Castillo who is founding member of the band Bury Your Dead(500,000 albums sold cumulative no big deal). Mark has toured with and drummed for Emmure, Bury Your Dead, and many others about touring as rockstars.

Come experience the touring life through the eyes of couple rockstars and beer leaguers.

The DEX Express keeps rolling after an ELECTRIC weekend in OKC. Nick discusses the hardest thing he has ever had to do while hosting adult athletic events and gives some tips on how to find a job in the hockey world (or in any world you’re passionated about). Nick met a scientist friend ( a legit one) in Oklahoma City that studies hangovers. Together they discuss what exactly causes hangovers and try to figure out how to keep those pesky things at bay while enjoying tournamentcompany.com events.

The DEXexpress is rolling around the country and it leaves a lot of time to Podcast. This week on the show we cover member questions about the Draft Experience tournament tour and take on the return of pro sports. We also talk to Brandon the creator of Canvas hockey. A brand new top down hockey video he came he created himself with his own drone footage.

Ever wonder what it would be like to be a pro hockey player in Europe? Wonder no more as Bill Keenan talks about his journey from Harvard through the European Beer Leagues.

We are re-leasing some old interview Nick has done throughout his podcast "career". This first one is a podcast with Kwame Mason. Kwame is the driving force behind the Soul on Ice documentary that tells the story of the black athlete's contribution to the sport of hockey. This interview is a few years old but the documentary is a great one.
