Bob Long interviewed Josh Verlin of City of Basketball Love during halftime of the Swarthmore vs. Arcadia men's basketball game, broadcast on the Garnet Sports Network. Josh discussed his coverage of amateur basketball throughout the Delaware Valley, from high school to the Big Five and everything in between. He also specifically discusses Swarthmore as the # 1 team in the country at the D3 level (and in the COBL D3 Top 10 poll) and much more!

In this week's Nittany Lion Sports Report, with Bob Long and Tyler Gehlhaus, we discuss Penn State's loss to Ohio State in the Horseshoe on Saturday, what went wrong, but also how Penn State turned the game around to make it close. We also discuss the fanbase's thoughts towards James Franklin, and grade the job that he has done at Penn State overall (Start-39:26). We then concluded our Guest Picker Segment for the year, in a pick-off between Rob Kelly and Maura Long, both of whom went 6-0 in their weekly picks earlier this year. Bob and Tyler also make their final picks for the regular season (39:56-Finish).

In this week's Nittany Lion Sports Report, with Bob Long and Tyler Gehlhaus, we discuss Penn State's loss to Minnesota, breaking down some of the key miscues in the red zone and from a playcall and execution standpoint (Start-40:55). We then went to the whiteboard to break down the differences between the X receiver position, Z receiver position, and the Slot receiver (41:25-49:27). We then welcomed our guest picker, Ryan Ansel, to the studio to discuss the # 1 ranked men's basketball team in Division III, the Swarthmore Garnet, for whom he is an assistant coach. Finally, we welcome Tony Kresz, head coach of the Sacred Heart/Saint Bernadette's Saints youth football team, to discuss the state of youth football, and to make his guest picks!

Bob Long was asked to be the keynote speaker at the La Salle College High School Alumni Mentor Program Reception on October 16, 2019. He speech centered around pursuing your passion, and avoiding potential roadblocks that inhibit the pursuit of that passion.
