I met Tony right at the beginning of covid. Like many people, we were kinda stuck and confused about how to move forward in life after the pandemic. From day one Tony has been honest and hilarious. I had no idea about his incredibly traumatic background when I met him, we sort of do a speed run through his past in this episode. He doesn't want to dwell on his past, he isn't the type of guy to make excuses at all for that matter. Tony CHOOSES to feel happy instead of sad, if he can do it so can you. In this episode I really just wanted to celebrate how incredible his character is and how he was always just a super nice and fair person regardlesss of what was going on in his life. We tried to cover so much in such little time, I hope we didnt move too quickly. He is an incredibly inspiring dude. Enjoy

What do people meen by "mystical experience"  

Jaret has popular social media pages such as @soulofjaret on instagram. I was made aware of him through a facilitator that I used to work with, and the first clip I saw of Jaret was him explaining his background and what got him into psychedelics. I was taken back by how similar our stories are. We both were going through similar things, at similar ages, with similar interestes, and in the same state! So I reached out and we decided to officially meet for the first time over a podcast! It made for quite a fun hang of an episode, Jaret is a really fun guy to talk to. Go check out all of his stuff!

After many years and around 200 or so macro doses of mushrooms...I had the ol' classic. The ol' standard bad trip. Why? Because it is the shit, its the bees knees. Even after surviving all of my mushroom doses, just like literally everyone else who has ever eaten mushrooms, I thought I was going to die, and my general happiness has been greatly improved ever since. Denise rue was the very first person I ever held space for, and soon became my first colleague.  We worked with many hundreds of clients side by side, and had many personal journeys with psilocybin with eachother as well. Arlene is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She is absolutely a role model on how to approach personal integration of a psychedelic experience. In this episode you will hear about her bestowing onto me the single nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. Arlene in her well-spoken thoughtful way shares some of her experience as well as her perceptions about how psychedelic healing and facilitation works. It was an absolute honor working with her during her journeys, and I will cherish that time for the rest of my life. 

Marc and I have been roomates while working in the legal psiocybin retreat setting in Jamaica. He's a fascinating guy, he's just done a lot of random stuff and I feel that we align on things most of the time. We talk about initiation, how to go from a directionless pissed off teenager to having purpose and learning how to grow as a person. Marc was a fantastic person to discuss this with.

I have facilitated many retreats with Chris and Shelly, and they are always a refreshing presence. I see them both as academics so I had to get them on the podcast to talk about how badly school sucks. I think we overlook how tragic it is that we force every child to be painfully bored five days a week while the brain is being formed.  Its a very chill and speculative episode.
