I got triggered today over my fear and fascination with hurricanes. Irma finally has my attention because they mentioned that only Allen was a stronger storm in the Atlantic. Allen was the first hurricane of several that I've gone through, and Allen was more than enough. Also, a special word of encouragement to a friend who's in South Florida right now.

Roley talks to Tiger Mom Hanna Weatherington, who was very distraught about what happened to her boys on the first day of school.

Roley waxes today about being at the tail end of raising kids, What’s Irma doing in the Caribbean, and Trump possibly ending DACA today. That lead to a sidebar about Roley growing up in the 1980s, and remembering that as a pretty awesome time to be American. In fact, most of the presidents since then gave you some kind of good feeling that things were going to be ok. Roley isn’t feeling that right now, and that worries him.
