The Board Meeting

You’ve heard the story of David & Goliath but you’ve never heard it like this! We break down, in our own special way, how David actually had the advantage in the fight against the giant Goliath! We also revisit the debate on being knocked out vs. put into submission, the NBA playoffs, and boxing on PBS? Yeah, it’s long, but this is a MUST LISTEN episode!

HR Guru and CEO of PINK Portfolio Aerialle Crawford joins us for the latest episode of #TheBoardMeeting! We discuss her upbringing, the one thing we should all be doing in interviews, and her passion for giving back to the community.

Also, we talk about the rift between super spy D’Angelo Russell and Nick Young. Man Law violation or Life Law violation?

It’s the 3rd month of the new year so you know what that means! We do March Madness as only the 3 of us can: by creating our own tourney bracket. We introduce to you, the 2016 R&BOD Tournament Bracket! We took 16 male R&B groups and 16 female R&B groups from the 90’s, ranked them, and put them in a bracket. We talk teamwork and pick the bracket as only we can do on this episode of #TheBoardMeeting!

With the sheriff Peyton Manning hanging up his cleats, it’s time for Jabari to pick a new favorite player/team. In ep 42 we talk about Peyton “Noodle Arm McGee” Manning’s retirement, discuss whether we’d rather be knocked out or choked into submission, and try to figure out what role people really expect Russell Wilson to play in baby Future’s life.

Being children of the golden age of hip hop, our formative years paralleled that of hip hop music. In episode 41 we talk about our earliest experiences with hip hop, all the way up to how we handle hip hop with our children

Super Bowl 50 and the Dab are DONE! We recap the big game and talk about unpopular opinions. (or just plain old hate!) We discuss hate for Cam Newton, Gerard’s opinion that The Chronic wasn’t really all that good, and team chaplain Mike hits us with a good word on having faith.

The 3 of us have a lot in common, but taste in TV shows isn't really one of those things. In this ep we talk about one of the few shows we all watch, Game of Thrones! We also talk about the upcoming Super Bowl and how the only certainties in life are death, taxes, and the Jordan cry face being funny! We also take a moment to talk with Gerald Davis of Sistercare and the work he's doing with young men and the victims of domestic violence.

In episode 38, we talk about our new mentoring program, Manhood Academy, and the plans we have for young men of the Columbia area. Also, we talk about our time at #NewYearNewYou2016, Clemson in the National Championship game, and how Mike is dealing with the loss.

You already know what it is. What else would we talk about other than our new book, The Makings of a Dream? We sit down to talk about the book's inspiration and how we're living our dream through The Board of Directors!

Lots of thanks to go around on this episode of #TheBoardMeeting. We reminisce on Thanksgivings past and some of our Thanksgiving family traditions, and also give our #BODtop3 unconventional things we’re thankful for!
