The Boat Podcast

Our second annual edition of "Why I Hate The Oscars". We break down each category from the upcoming ceremony and also give our prediction for what will take home the Academy Award.

We devote this entire episode to Christopher Nolan's newest film, Interstellar. We discuss what we liked and disliked about it. We also get into our interpretation of the ending. SPOILER ALERT!!!!! There are spoilers in this episode, but we don't get into that part of the discussion until the 42 minute mark. So if you haven't seen Interstellar yet please, for the love of God, do not listen past minute 42. We also talk about Birdman, True Detective, and the general state of both film and television. This Boat is about to take flight. Veering from the open sea into that final frontier. Prepare to enjoy the ride! Starting in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!

We give our Top 5 Songs and Top5 Albums of 2014.

The 1st annual Floaty Awards! We discuss the year that was in film (2013). We each give out an award for Best Concept, Best Twist, Best Female Performance, Best Male Performance, Best Director, and the 5 Best Films of 2013.
