This week in Chapter 4, we are reminded that humility brings us closer to God, but requires us to release our own desires as we submit to Him. In His infinite grace, God invites us to surrender, submit, lay down, and give over our own desires and selfishness and align ourselves with the life of Jesus and become a servant.

1. Read James 4:11-17 at least twice in the coming week to prepare for next week’s teaching.  
2. Journal and expand on what you’ve learned this week and/or take notes of what you’re learning as you read the text and prepare for the coming week in the second half of Chapter 4.
