30 years ago, Lyricist and vocalist Mark Hennessy captivated my 17 year old mind with the southern gothic masterpiece "Dragline". His band, Paw, was a true outlier in the Grunge and Pop Punk infused landscape of the early 1990s, and that spirit of hard nosed individuality remains today with the stoner gloom and angry bombast that is Godzillionaire.

Tonight, we celebrate the newest single from the boys, a cover of INXS post punk classic "Don't Change", the unabashed thrust of the new outfit, and a love for words and music. This interview is the realization of years spent in awe of the sheer power vocalist Mark wields. We had the pleasure of speaking with the entire group, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome!

Brandon Phillips cut his teeth in his Ska-Punk institution The Gadjits, From the mid 1990s until 2004, they were a light in the mire of the Hellcat Records Ska-Punk wave. After having rebranded in the aforementioned year to Architects, Brandon moved on to Other Americans and Brandon Phillips and the condition, finally landing on his current incarnation.

Two veteran members of the music community, Charlie Faye and Adrienne Lake, have joined forces to launch a new Austin-based creative services agency for music organizations and musicians. To celebrate their new business and provide a free educational opportunity for artists, they have teamed up with Austin Music Foundation to present a panel and mixer on team building for musicians.

The Thursday, February 9th panel, titled “Building Your Team, Building Your Music Career” covers preparing for and creating relationships with management, booking agents, licensing agencies, record labels, publicists, and consultants and takes place at Native Hostel in Austin, TX. Featured panelists are Traffic Music Group’s Kevin Wommack (Management- Los Lonely Boys, Lisa Morales, Jon Muq), Melanie Lane of M Lane Agency (Licensing- formerly of Universal Music and Bug Music), Atomic Music Group’s Enrique Bravo (Booking- Jenny & The Mexicats, Nortec Collective, El Dusty) and Samara Simpson of Spaceflight Records (Label- Urban Heat, Primo The Alien, Golden Dawn Arkestra) and will be moderated by Lake and Faye.
