"Life and death is in the power of the tongue." In 2008, I had the worst words spoken over my life that sent me on a rollercoaster of emotions. For years I dealt with insecurity, lack of vision and purpose, and struggled to maintain friendships. It was a tough season that I pray no one has to go through. Unfortunately, there are so many who carry the negative words that have been spoken over their lives. Those words have blocked so many people from fully pursuing their purpose. 

In today's episode, I get very personal and share a story that has been heard in very few rooms. I also share the solutions I used to transform my life so I can walk confidently in my purpose.

A lot of us have lost our ability to dream. We have gotten so caught up in our day-to-day activities, that we have forgotten the dreams and the purpose that is inside of us. Today, that changes. 

We have to be intentional about our purpose in this life. We are only here for a limited amount of time, so we have to make the most of it. We were not just put here to pay bills and die. That is not going to be my reality and, if I can help it, I will encourage you to not make it yours in today's episode.

Oftentimes, we are so focused on what we lack, we fail to realize all of the tools and resources we have right at the tip of our fingertips. In fact, it reminds me of the story of Moses from the Bible. He was given the task to free his people from the Pharoah. Instead of being confident in what he had, he shared all of the reasons why he was not qualified enough to make it happen. After making his excuses, God asked him, "What is in your hand?"

The staff that was there was the very thing he used to get his people one step closer to the Promised Land.
