  • #102 - Boss Wave Adventures in Brum

Finally there is an answer to the age-old question of what happens when five grown man reconvene to a cheap hotel room in Birmingham, they record a gaming podcast. This week Chris and Rob are joined in person in their pokey hotel room by Mike Chinn from the Veteran Gamers podcast, Jon Wilson and, all the way from America via Germany and Paris, Seth McNitt.

In honour of the visiting Veteran Gamer the guys start by avoiding talking about games all together and just discuss what they did during their day out. They do however eventually get on to what Seth got up to and saw at Gamescom and what everyone has been playing recently.

  • #101 - Game Dev Story

This week Mark is pulling a sickie so Chris and Rob have roped in backup extraordinaire and burgeoning game dev impresario Stepjay who regales us with tales of his first forays into the gaming industry and reminds us that our jobs are rubbish.

Chris and Stepjay talk about attending the recent F1 race at Silverstone and once Rob has woken from the coma that this induced he talks at length about Batman: Arkham Knight (no spoilers). Chris has been playing Ratchet and Clank, Portal Stories: Mel and Cloudberry Kingdom and Stepjay is trapped in The Golf Club.

  • #100 - Boss Wave Hits 100

This week Chris, Rob and Mark celebrate The Boss Wave Podcast reaching its 100th episode by inviting on a load of people from other (lesser) podcasts. Guesting this week are Robin Tate from the Overseas Connection, Mike Chinn and Stuart Fowler from the Veteran Gamers, Fraser Moores from the GamePunchers (among others) and Seth McNitt from nothing after abandoning his previous podcast (we're not bitter).

Topics for discussion this week include the various gaming controversies of the week, some final wrapping up of E3 (because we don't seem able to get away from it) and Seth manages to drag out a 5 minute description of what he played at E3 to about half an hour by being constantly interupted.

The fact that this episode worked and wasn't an incomprehensible mess surprised everyone.

    Game Music:

The closing game music shall return next week as we have now run out of reasons to not put it in.
