Spoiler filled Synopsis: Homelander, thanks to Congresswoman Neuman, finds and convinces Ryan to return to him from Auntie Grace’s as he tries to build his true family back together after learning that Soldier Boy is his father. Elsewhere, Soldier Boy, Billy Butcher and Hughie head to New York to take down Homelander, but unwilling to harm Hughie further, Butcher leaves him and heads to New York with Soldier Boy.

Hughie is collected on the road by Annie, where he apologizes for his mistakes, while Maeve escapes Vought's custody and meets up with Hughie, Annie, and MM and resolve to prevent Billy Butcher from carrying out his plan. But when they meet the Boys, Maeve sides with Butcher and locks the Boys and Annie in the safe room before leaving to kill Homelander.

At Vought Tower, Homelander kills Noir for withholding the knowledge of him being Soldier Boy's son and prepares for the arrival of his father. Homelander begs Soldier Boy to accept him, but Soldier Boy sees him as weak and a severe disappointment and attacks him. When Ryan attempts to save Homelander, Soldier Boy attacks him too, causing Butcher, Maeve, and the arriving Boys to turn against him.

As Soldier Boy is restrained the Boys try to knock him out using the Novichok prepared by Frenchie. In his bid to escape, Soldier Boy begins to fire up his explosive power putting everyone in Vought Tower at risk. But Maeve in a last gasp moment tackles him out of the building while Homelander leaves with Ryan.

Afterwards, the public mourns Maeve's apparent sacrifice, unaware she is alive but depowered, Butcher is in critical condition due to his usage of V24, Annie joins the Boys, Soldier Boy is put on ice by the CIA, and Neuman is appointed the new Vice President running mate after the Deep murders her predecessor.

As Soldier Boys statue is taken down by braying Homelander supporters, Homelander introduces them to Ryan where his first lesson for his son is how to get away with murder!
