NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test, or DART, is the world’s first full-scale planetary defense test, demonstrating one method of asteroid deflection technology. 

For the first time in the history of the planet, a species has the technology to prevent its own extinction.

Dr. Mallory DeCoster from the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab is on to talk about this NASA mission to test new technologies and techniques on a non-threating asteroid. 

Prepare to strap in a hear about some amazing things that are happening in this international effort.

Bill Schrader is back on the show talking about the revenue sharing agreement between Albemarle County and the City of Charlottesville.  This RSA started in 1982 and the county has paid the city a lot of money over the course of this time.  A lot of this information was news to me and Bill does a great job describing the climate in 1982, how it got started, the effects and how to approach a solution in the future.
