Tim Tolson is on the show to today to talk about the Crozet Community Association (CCA).

The CCA was incorporated in February 1985 by a group of local Crozet residents who saw the need to work together to protect, preserve, and enhance our Crozet community and establish a forum where all are welcome.

We also talk about the Downtown Crozet Initiative and the old Acme Visible Facility lots as well as the motorcyling to Alaska.

I appreciate Tim coming on and talking about the CCA, its history, contributions and the way ahead.

NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test, or DART, is the world’s first full-scale planetary defense test, demonstrating one method of asteroid deflection technology.

For the first time in the history of the planet, a species has the technology to prevent its own extinction.

Dr. Mallory DeCoster from the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab is on to talk about this NASA mission to test new technologies and techniques on a non-threating asteroid.

Prepare to strap in a hear about some amazing things that are happening in this international effort.

I have a mid-week emergency podcast drop because Brett Rykal got back from backpacking part of the AT here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.  It was a week long, rainy time and he enjoyed the challenge and I wanted to get him on to talk about it and capture the memories.

I hope you enjoy the show. -Brad

Gary Amoroso is taking over the hosting duties of the show today and interviewing me.  He came up with this idea a few weeks back to ask me questions.  Gary came prepared and asked a lot of great questions.

This podcast was a lot of fun for me and to be honest it is way easier to be asked the questions then listen and ask them for a change.

Enjoy today's show. -Brad

Leonard is well known through central Virginia but if you would like some more background on him you can click on the link below.
