It’s a fact: if you want to succeed in business, or in anything that you do in life you will have at some point to get out of your own ways, and do things that make you feel uncomfortable — and that even scare you to death.

We often tend to look at people we admire and think ‘gosh, I wish this could be me’ — but the success we’re seeing and envying ALWAYS came after years of risk-taking and sacrifice. 

There is no way to grow if you keep doing the same thing, with the same people, at the same place every day. To become better, you have to be willing to take that step outside of your comfort zone not once, not twice, but on a DAILY BASIS — doing little things that seem irrelevant in the moment, but also doing big things you never thought you would dare to do.

In this episode, we tell you about our experience taking risks in our professional lives, as entrepreneurs, and in our day-to-day personal lives, and how you too can become that person too.

Pili met Ruby a few of months ago on a creators Christmas getaway, and then Marie got to know her too.

We knew she had something special but didn't get the full picture until we interviewed her, and...we couldn't keep her incredible story to ourselves! 

Model, actress and travel influencer, @rubystravels when through difficult moments from a very young age that made her grow up faster than most of us.

From moving out of her home at the age of 16, to working to support her family in a foreign city, to struggling with body-image, Ruby went through a lot - and chose to remain the positive, vibrant, light person she is to this day.

There's two ways to look at hardships.

1. Difficult times to quickly get out of, and never think about ever again.
2. Seasons that push you out of your comfort zone so you can learn, grow and become the best version of yourself.

And there is NO DOUBT Ruby always chose the second option.

In our chat with her, we discuss how she managed to live through the hardest time of her life, and how those moments are the ones that shaped her into the person she is today, leading and preparing her for the life she always dreamt of.

Just like it does for couples, when we met (Pili & Marie), it’s like the stars aligned...

The daughter of two strong entrepreneurs, Marie's childhood was very exciting: from seeing her parent's business going from 0 to a multi-national, to living on a boat, traveling the world and going to school with people from all cultures and backgrounds.

And one day, that bubble popped and Marie was left with the reality and repercussions of her family losing it all, literally.

Yet, when hardship stroke in her life, she decided to stay resilient and to keep pushing, growing and learning: turning her into a stronger person and business owner.
