After 35 years and senior positions in the cycling Industry, Mark Peterman decided to start all over again with his own company Air Fom at age 58. The idea was to eliminate flat tires with air-less foam systems.

He had to learn everything about foam from the start again and work his way into the chemical industry, securing his patents Mark was able to prove his idea. Today several bike sharing organizations around the globe have started using his products.

His emotional racing stories and honest business insights show Marks passion and will-power, making a meaningful difference in an impressive way.

His passion to compete turned him to professional bike racing, his willingness to suffer made him one of the most iconic Mountainbike XC racers of the 1980’-90`. Ned Overend won the first UCI MTB World Championships, in his hometown Durango 1990.

His experience played an important role in developing Specialized Stumpjumper and Epic bikes. Till today, he is working close with Specialized Bicycles: as Ambassador, in Trail Advocacy, as Talent Scout and Test rider.

Even so Ned is retired from professional racing, “the Captain” is still competing, today on E-MTB’s, at age 65, still growing the cycling culture so everybody wins.

Viele Leser schlagen wegen ihm erst einmal die letzte Seite der 'Bike' auf.

Seit zehn Jahren verarbeitet Henri Lesewitz in seiner Kolumne Erlebnisse mit viel Wissenstiefe und Wortwitz.

Mountainbiken ist für ihn pure Freiheit, die Henri in den extremsten Abenteuerrennen weltweit auslebt - Ideen, Events und Trends werden alle ausprobiert, auch wenn er sich dabei mal in übelste Gefahren begibt.

In der DDR Kaderschmiede platze sein Traum, Straßenweltmeister zu werden an der Gesinnung. Als Journalist wurde sein Traum beim Bike Magazin einmal eine Reportage zu schreiben war - inzwischen seit 25 Jahren und seit einem Jahr als Chefredakteur.

Seine Vorstellungen von besser, smarter, schneller trieben Mike Kluge 1992 nach dem dritten WM Titel an, seine eigene Bike Marke Focus zu gründen. Volles Risiko, mit eigenem Geld und engen Freunden wagte er sich an neue Limits.

Leidenschaft, Netzwerken und stetig zu optimieren, trieben seine Entwicklung voran.

Wie im Quersport Sport hat Mike mit Focus alle Höhen und Tiefen durchlebt. Heute ist ein 170 mm Focus E Bike-Fully seine Wahl für eine schnelle Runde mit Spaß und er tüftelt bereits in einem Konsortium an seiner nächsten Vision, Bikes mit Wasserstoffantrieb.

Kälte mag er überhaupt nicht, trotzdem wurde er dreimal Cross Weltmeister!

Sein Vater setzte das nervige Energiebündel auf's Rennrad, wo er mit 15 Jahren erstmals Blutgeschmack erlebte und seine Leistungen mit Aufmerksamkeit belohnt wurden.

Harte Trainer und starke Sparringspartner formten ihn, Spaß kam dabei nie zu kurz. Seine ehrliche Berliner Schnauze brachte den Sunnyboy an Grenzen. Er lernte aus seinen Fehlern und wurde 1985 erstmalig mit dem Weltmeister Titel belohnt.

Der Film 'Rocky 4' gab ihm den Kick, sein Trainingslager für 3 Monate im Schwarzwald aufzuschlagen. Das brachte ihm 1992 den ersehnten Profi Weltmeister Titel und den Mut, seine eigene Bike Marke zu starten.

Trials - Team GT - Zaskar - Swatch - Laguna Rads - performing at the Atlanta Olympics closing ceremony are just some of his highlights.

47 adventure rides in the past 26 years, he grew the sport and left impressions with many for life. We talk about how he never made it to university - but to Laguna - how a painful crash gave him a signal, how he rode his first e-Bike with president George Bush sr. and why he, as a Hall of Famer feels it is so important to preserve the mtb history.

Nach über 30 Jahren Bike Industrie in leitenden Positionen, entschloss sich Thommy May mit 57 Jahren nochmals neu durchzustarten. Als Business Coach und Trainer vermittelt er heute seine Erfahrungen in Führung, Struktur und Kommunikation an Unternehmen und den Einzelhandel in der Bike Industrie.

Im März 2020 wurde der 62-jährige durch Corona, wie viele andere, wieder dazu gezwungen sich zu verändern und seine Coachings & Workshops auf online umzustellen. Er erzählt uns, wie er dies durch Mut und Ausprobieren erfolgreich umgesetzt hat, wie Coachings und Mitarbeitertrainings Menschen und Marken stärken und was er noch von einem Azubi lernen konnte.
