Back in December the legendary Sugar Shack in the Black Hills of SD burnt down. For Trever and his wife that wasn't all the only thing had going on. In January they gave birth to a healthy baby girl too. Trever Kautzman stopped by the Homeslice Studious to talk about what a wild December and January he had and how it has been a struggle. Waiting on the investigation to find if they are able to rebuild or possible not is huge for them more then for us as fans of the amazing food and atmosphere that the place delivers. Tune in and listen as we talk about if they are rebuilding, how, why not, and maybe if it's bigger and better if they can.

The answer is in this episode of the brandoM podcast!

How many times have you enjoyed a Sugar Shack Burger?

My little twin stopped by for a chat about things that are sometimes hard to talk about. Insurance, and not just on home, auto and other vehicles but on yourself and loves ones.

If you don't have life insurance, it's time to take a look. Also maybe it's time to take a look at your coverage so you are not left paying for things you thought you were covered for. Nothing more frustrating then thinking you are insured when your kind of maybe not for that. Have a professional take a look at it.

Aric and Cody of The Campbell Lending group with CMG financial stopped in to talk about the crazy and ever changing house market and what to expect.

We talked about the market then and now, when should you buy, how you can buy and the endless options there are for home financing.

The fact of the matter is, buying a home like they said is a scary and big deal, but from what I have learned and necessary part of beginning your "generational wealth" as Aric said.

I like that, It is something you can hand down and or give to your family that has always been a great investment for your money and you have to start somewhere.

If you are looking for a loan or have questions about home loans of any kind these guys are absolutely awesome.

I sat with coach, owner, father and baseball lover Nate Solano with Dakota Kings Travel baseball program.

I personally love what he has added to our community for baseball and for our youth who want to grow in the game. Rapid City and the Black Hills will be better and stand out because of efforts of people like Nate and the Dakota Kings Facility.

Recently we talked with Lila Crosswhite about the lunch debt in Rapid City that led me to going to the Teen Art auction. There I met Krista who is the Student Nutrition Manager for Rapid City Schools. as lucky enough to have her come in and chat with me about the Rapid City Schools food program. I had some questions, and I knew she had the answers.

I think before my conversation I already felt Krista was an amazing person, she caries that kind of a aura with her, and you can hear her passion for the children in our community and for her team when she talks about them.

Call the office to ask question's or donate 605-394-4061

I was blessed to be able to sit down and chat with my Niece Lila and talk about the Teen Art Auction coming up, an amazing thing to help with the City's school lunch dept. You can always donate if you can't make it, and if you are from out of town. Scan the QR code or go the any of the school web sights and donate. This is for City wide.

Also a reminder to check you kids lunch balance, possible your kid is eating a lunch and your not even aware they are running up a tab.

Today I had the honor to be joined by some FFA kids of South Dakota Daphne, Alexa and Ethan to talk about FFA week and what all it has to offer for them and for other kids in the area!!

I learned it's not just for farm kids, ranchers but for kids who are interested in any side of agriculture from working with he animals to just working wit your hands in the garden or better understanding the beautiful Black Hills we live in. Also helping in furthering your education with great hands on learning

PS - This was taped on Valentines day and I was dressed as Cupid earlier in the day so that's why I had pink shorts on! If I would have remebered to pack jeans maybe I would have looked a little cooler!
