Right out of the radio gate, it's a crash course on the Chinese Zodiac-with BeiBei diagnosing John as an ox-but then-figures out he's a dog. Turnabout is fair play-and John figures out pretty quickly that BeiBei is under the sign of the monkey. Much deeper discussion as the show goes on, to BeiBei's speed on the running track and John's many years of football, and the lessons they learned from sports. They also talk about the difference between success and significance.

Super Producer Cimcie connects from LA with BeiBei in Beijing, for the first time on The Bridge. These two "foodies" share some of the ways they've kept busy baking, cooking and creating during the global pandemic. John referees this back-and-forth contest from Chicago, as BeiBei admits to getting "hangry" (anger brought on by hunger) and turning into a totally different person, and Cimcie admits that happiness can be found in a 5lb. block of cheddar cheese. Finally, BeiBei reveals that her favorite TV show growing up was "Growing Pains" where she first learned the difference between Fahrenheit and Centigrade. 

Back to the 80's as Heyang shares some of her favorites including songs from Richard Marx, Air Supply and the Eagles. John rolls back the years and drops the needle on some Huey Lewis & The News, Men At Work and Van Halen. John shares a rare interview with he had with Huey Lewis, talking about the impact of music and the journey to the top of the charts in the 80s.

While the pandemic has grabbed headlines worldwide, the environmental effects of the lowered human activity have given the natural systems a change to rest and restore. BeiBei and John have a wide ranging, ecology-based conversation about their concerns for the planet, how the DNA of denial is our "Achilles Heel" and this show also features two episodes of "Earth Matters with Bill Kurtis."

Conversely, the divorce rate in the USA is the lowest it's been in 50 years. John & Heyang take a look at the trends, and Heyang shares her thoughts about what it's like being a single, successful, professional woman, when it comes to dating and marriage.

People from across the U.S. and around the world let Lake Superior State University in Upper Michigan, know that they’re tired not only of the coronavirus pandemic but also of hearing, reading, and talking about it—especially when the communication is bad or excessive. John & Heyang run down the list of words that have outlived their use, and in John attempts to use all the banned words in a single sentence (with some help from Heyang) to close the show.

Early in the episode, Heyang schools John in the art of female beauty care, which leads to a conversation about how female stand-up comedians are really shaking up the status quo in China. Heyang shares some incredible insights into the courage it takes for women to get up on stage and make people laugh, while looking at themselves. John suggests that perhaps we are witness to major changes in the world, that are more significant than they appear to be on the surface.

On her first episode of 2021, Super Producer Cimcie kick-starts the show, with her prediction that as crazy as 2020 was, we might perhaps, see some extraterrestrial activity in the new year. Then John joins in with an old article in the Weekly World News that claimed his one-time boss, Oprah Winfrey, had aliens on the payroll, and Heyang adds that China has the largest radio telescope listening to outer space. From there, it's about sci-fi movies, human existence and books that suggest that perhaps there's far more going on than meets our human eyes.
