The smallest borrow
Where, President Jimmy Carter
Flew October 5, 1977 to the S. Bronx
There was no gun shots
There was no one shot
There people with love
Give me a drink or two, have no money to spare!
As all shouted out
Give us money!
We want jobs!
Out of his limousine, there unmanned homes
Abandoned buildings, cracked homes
Burned to the ground homes
President motorcade
Rubbles-strewn burned out homes without hopes
Mr. Carter
Came with water
Came to NYC
U.N. General Assembly
On that date
He was not scared
To face the poorest of South Bronx
He knew, he can understand a poor man
He a democrat of his days
The despair of a broken neighborhood
Can he make it rise?
It takes a man with a vision to rise it like the sun
He died Dec 29, 2024
Does anyone in the Bronx?
Remembered Carter? The test of his heroic
Effort to stand next 2crimes
S. Bronx gets a bad vibe
There’s the faith of every man
Because, it’s the Bronx
Doesn’t mean, they bad people
They all have same need and wants
Just like everyone else
What the difference
Them and all?
The changes and opportunities
The very few are born
Some have to fight, yea some have to fight
While others have fought too hard …
Their desire tonight gone
Their first black like stone
They tried too hard
Now, their hearts made of stones
Mr. Carter looked all around
He saw their pain
He listened to their faith
With fortitude and all …
