In Luke 20:1-8, you get this moment where Jesus is teaching in the temple, and some of the Jewish religious leaders come up and basically challenge him. They ask, "Hey, by what authority are you doing all these things?" They want to know who gave him the right to teach and act as he does.

And Jesus, in his usual style, turns the question around. He says, "I’ll also ask you a question. Tell me, was the baptism of John from heaven, or was it of human origin?" In other words, he makes them grapple with their own beliefs about authority before he answers them. It's a neat little exchange that really highlights how Jesus often engaged people by making them think a bit deeper.
