Alrighty then--it's time for week 3 of our Practical Christianity series. We hope you've enjoyed it thus far. This week we dive into worship, again beginning with an exploration of the "WHY" behind our "WHAT." Admittedly, this week is heavier on the WHY and lighter on the WHAT/HOW. 

We don't go into details on how to functionally worship according to the scriptures (although that's immensely important). We instead focus on the heart and attitude we bring into it, which strongly connects to our "WHY." Enjoy, and God bless you.

Alright everybody--new month = new topic on the Brother Cousins Podcast Project. So, we've been running pretty theology-heavy around here, and decided to bring home some basics in a fresh way. The Christian faith starts in the heart and grows into actions. This month, we will look at 4 Christian disciplines with a view to implement them more fully into our walk with Jesus. They are: Study of Scripture, Prayer, Worship, and Fellowship. 

In each episode we'll examine our "why" for the specific practice, offering some personal examples. Then we will move from the "why" to the "what" and "how" (based on our reasons, what will our practice be and how will we accomplish it?)

Hello everyone. We continue this month's series about God's Truth with the concept of the "still small voice" (see Elijah in the cave in 1 Kings 19). In this week's episode, we open with discussion about the miracle of God's Scripture, and contrast it with the desire for God to communicate directly with everyone. We walk through several passages, including the story of the Young Prophet and the Old Prophet (1 Kings 13) and see the danger of believing contradicting messages. We wrap up with a discussion of the cessation of divine revelation and wonder at the enduring power of God's Word for us today.

Hello all. As we announced in our NOV 28 episode, the Brother Cousins are taking time to slow down and enjoy the Holidays. We also announced that we would release one episode in December, which would feature a special guest we would select from our audience. We asked--you answered. Elise Fleming returned, this time with her Husband, David. David and Elise attend the South Penn Church of Christ in the Oklahoma City area.
