I was asked a question of what does De-colonizing your faith mean? Here is my answer.

Americans. There perspective is different from the traditional Christian church. Their message is radical to some, but at times a radical message is needed to wake people up and to sober them up from the lies and indoctrination they’ve been given over the years. The black church is notorious of financing its own oppression. This mindset has to be changed in order for our people and community to be free. We finance our own oppression by giving our resources to people and communities that do not represent or support us as a people and community.

WE NEED POLICY! In order for change to take place we need policy. Mockery comes when you have sentiments and symbolism but you decide not to change even after the sentiments. You mock the pain by making gestures of healing and wholeness, but not delivering what you promised.

The Bible says that an unjust balance is an abomination to the Lord. In this time of unrest and fighting injustice we need both prayer and legislation. It’s not an issue of either or. It’s an issue of this and that. We need balance to heal as a whole.

God is revealing HIMSELF in prayer and bringing forth the revolutionaries to deliver the people from oppression.

We are the vanguard for this time and season.

There are those that believe that oppression and a savior’s complex justifies crushing the cries of the unheard. I say this is not the way.
