Shawn Farrell, Athletic Director at Cal State San Bernardino & Veteran Sports Broadcaster Lew Stowers join Bruce to talk about how the landscape of College Athletics around the country have, and will continue to change, during the Covid-19 pandemic.  They also talk about the life of a truly unique woman, Angela Madsen.  The three-time Paralympian, world record holder in the shot put, surfing records and nine Guiness Book of World Records holder for ocean rowing, overcame a back surgery gone wrong, homelessness and discrimination to become an inspiration to all, and a rising force in the LBGTQ community.  She tragically died doing what she loved, alone in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, while attempting to become the oldest person, 60 years-old, to row solo in a 20 foot ocean rowing boat from Marina Del Rey, California to Honolulu, Hawaii.

Bruce discusses Hollywood’s film industry future, during and after the pandemic, with Producer Stephan Paternot, who is the co-founder & CEO of Slated, the world’s first online film finance market place. Steph also founded theGlobe.com, one of the first social networking service companies in 1994.

Community Activist Dr. Charles Dorsey, a member of the Board of Directors for New Directions For Women, talks with Bruce about substance abuse in the black community.  Then, clinical psychologist Dr. Rachel Dore and Bruce discuss eating disorders, alcohol and drug abuse during the pandemic and societal unrest during this turbulent year.

On this Father’s Day edition, Bruce welcomes crisis management expert Edward Segal, who authored the book, “Crisis Ahead”, to talk about the changing of our culture on so many different levels, including corporations changing the names of their products that could be considered racially offensive, in the light of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Professional leadership coach Mike Goldman and Bruce talk about business, and the critical need for real leadership to, quote, pick a side. The author of the book, “Break Through Leadership”, explains what he means, when he says neutrality is dead in the business world.

Olympian Melinda Harrison, who swam for Team Canada in the 1984 LA Olympics, talks to Bruce about the cancellation of this year’s Olympic Games in Tokyo. Harrison is now a professional level executive coach, helping pro athletes transition into the business world, and is the author of the book, “Personal Next”.
