Freedom Foundation update with Dmitriy Sashchenko and Timothy Snowball. The Portland teachers union went on strike for the last month and just ended their strike on Monday this week -- but they've now kept the kids out of in-person instruction for another several weeks, continuing to contribute to learning loss.

It's no wonder so many Oregon teachers are fed up with the unions! LEGAL UPDATE- The Alaska case is pretty amazing -- the Attorney General and Governor of Alaska essentially reinforced the simple language of the Janus ruling to make sure the state and local governments have verified/confirmed that government employees want to have union dues deducted from their paychecks before the dues payments are taking out.

The DeSantis/Newsom debate isn’t just what America needs, it’s the essence of what America is. This is the 50 laboratories of democracy at work, two competing visions in full display for the nation to see. More than a conservative versus liberal debate, this is the fruits of federalism in action.

On Freedom Foundation this week we have an excellent update for you from New York. Ryan Brooks, Freedom Foundation New York director has been breaking state records for Opt Outs in New York, and there's been some specific outreach to college campuses in New York State about the anti-Semitism exposed this summer with the valedictorian speech at CUNY Law School, and now more targeted speech regarding the pro-Hamas radicalism of the teachers' unions supporting the professors.

Terry Schilling, President of the American Principles Project:

This incident has sparked intense debate and reflection among students, many of whom have traditionally aligned with liberal
