The Burbs Minute Podcast

In minute 9 of The Burbs we start with Ray saying “It’s four hours of sitting on the tollway…” and and ends with Vince, the dog, running out off frame.  We discuss the Tom Hanks body shuffle, Ray’s intense hatred of the lake and becoming a brand new human being   We also cover the Peterson’s son Corey Danzinger.

This minute begins with Ray saying “And all they ever do is fight,”  and ends with Ray saying, “You call going up to the lake resting.”  The boys discuss a great marital argument, an ignored child and Gremlins cereal.  Also discussed is Carrie Fisher who once appeared in a space movie.

Minute 7 begins with Rumsfield saying “God D@%$ it” and ends with Ray saying, “We have an arms dealer up the street and a crazy person down it.”  We discuss nearly breaking the fourth wall, the unknown neighbor and who Ray thinks is crazy We also discuss the dog, Darla.

This minute begins with Ricky flipping paint off of his hand and ends with Rumsfield stepping in poop.  We discuss such items as red mesh shirts, Circus of Power and the greatest character reveal of all time.  Also discussed is the legendary Bruce Dern.

This minute begins with Queenie being released by Walter and ends with Ricky nonchalantly spilling pain. In minute 5 of The Burbs we attempt to identify just what Walter’s dog is up to, whether or not Mark Rumsfield is the neighbor you want to screw with and just what the hell time of year it is. Also Corey Feldman is discussed.

It’s minute 4 of the The Burbs and we’re finally in daylight. This minute the boys start with Ray Peterson still staring at the Klopek’s house and end’s with Walter saying to the paperboy “You miserable little…” This minute covers highlights such as what other films used this location, a quick tour of the neighborhood and whether or not you can toss your coffee at the Paperboy. Also a quick retrospective on Gale Gordon.

In this minute Chris and Jeff cover from Ray staring at the Klopek’s house all the way up to banging and buzzing coming from the Klopek’s house. Some of the topics covered are Ray Peterson’s dirty robe, who is really the crazy neighbor and Yo Gabba Gabba. Also we cover newcomer Tom Hanks who has apparently been in a film or two.

In minute 2 of The Burbs Minute Podcast Jeff and Chris find out just who is in this movie. We chat about Bruce Dern a bit, wander into some other movies and talk about that awful bathrobe. Also Jerry Goldsmith is discussed.
