In the final episode of the season, Karan and Matt kick it off by analyzing how similar a musical idea can be to another pre-existing one, without sounding “too similar,” or “unoriginal.” Matt conducts a test along these lines by creating an original melody that is similar to, but slightly different from, a very well-known song, and challenging Karan to guess which famous song the tune sounds reminiscent of.
