The title says it all, this is my definition of a Killer Speaker Showreel

Speakers often talk about bigger stages, but size isn't the important consideration. Size doesn't matter. 

Should you put contact details on your showreel? It depends ... This is what I think. 

Bookers need to very quickly and easily understand you so that they can book you. 

As a speaker you will be booking dates with clients in advance and in doing so you will be turning down other paid work. So when a client cancels do you have a system in place to charge a cancellation fee.  It's always best to agree this in advance - here's my take on it. 

This is from an interview I did in my FB group with James Kettle, a professional script and speechwriter. He has written for the likes of Rory Bremner, Ed Balls,  David Gower and Miles Jupp.

James tells us how a speechwriter has a lot in common with the effervescent vitamin tablet Berocca, making speakers “them”, but them on a really good day.  And we hear about liquid lunches with former English cricketer David Gower.  So, let’s dive right in.

Outros will help you to leave the audience with the right message after you leave the stage.  Don't leave it to an MC who may not have heard all of your speech. 

Do you have terms and conditions regarding getting paid?.  The great thing about this business is that if you get it right you never have a cash flow problem.
