Right now children are being manipulated to push authoritarian agendas. Gretta Thunberg (climate change) and David Hogg (gun control) are tools of very powerful interests. 

Public relations firms push these figureheads as wunderkind experts, but they aren't.  Mostly they are just (legitimately) privileged white kids spewing what they've been told to spew for the cameras. And a certain percentage of the population buys this nonsense. 

Do you remember what you were like at 17? Where you someone who should have been dispensing advice on grand policy issues of the day?

 Just because these kids have rich connected parents doesn't mean we should be listening to them. 

Artificial Intelligence is just starting to revolutionize the world.

The Democratic candidates on the stage last night likely don't see themselves as authoritarians. They no doubt see themselves as the "good guys".  But the authoritarianism was for all to see. 

The Dem candidates appear to be interested in managing and manipulating every part of your life (even more than the often terrible Republicans).  Your money, your transportation, your right to defend yourself. They think they know better than you do how to live your life - you DEPLORABLES.  And if you don't agree with them then the implication is that you will be made to comply.

Plus they didn't let the most interesting Democrat running for president take the stage, Tulsi Gabbard.

The cities need the rest of the country much more than the rest of the country needs the cities. Tax revenue? The hinterlands don't want the government so they don't NEED the revenue.

Google has gone whole hog into surveiling the globe. From sharing doorbell video with cops to Alexa now recognizing your face when you come into the living room, the company has gone almost full dystopian. (Of course don't hurt our search rankings kind Google Corp.)

This moment may be a cultural turning point. Joe Rogan sees it, many others who have seen "Sticks and Stones" Chappelle's special on Netflix  see it.

Could people be coming to their senses? It's too early to tell.

As we consider the hurricane and its impact politicians are warning people against "price gouging". This is a terrible mistake. Price "gouging" actually helps those communities most affected by natural disasters. Government, by restricting prices, actually creates perverse incentives which in turn create shortages. 

In his new special on Netflix Dave Chappelle lays it out. He says things he's not "supposed" to say. He talks about  the LGBQT movement and the media. He talks guns from a generally pro-gun perspective. He defends Lewis CK.  As a result the social justice warriors have targeted him.  

Racism exists and may sadly always exist to some extent. Systematic, government sanctioned racism existed, codified by law, in previous eras in the US. Big government has long pushed racism. However, the United States today is probably the least racist country in the world. We should acknowledge that. 

But there are many vested interests that push racialism because it is in their interests to do so. It is in their interest to divide people by tribes. The New York Times is a prime example.
