The Cleveland Indians are making moves! Though still sporting one of the game’s lowest payrolls, the Indians made some big free agency moves to bolster their lineup in 2021, re-signing second baseman Cesar Hernandez and signing outfielder Eddie Rosario from the divisional rival Minnesota Twins. The team may not be completely done wading in the free agency waters, but even if they are, the team is well-positioned to once again compete for a playoff spot. In his ten years with the Cleveland Indians, Carlos Santana filled a ton of roles, from catcher to third baseman to first baseman to outfielder (during the World Series!). He grew into a beloved leader and a great defensive first baseman, and was always a consistent presence at the plate. So now that he’s gone (again - this time to the Royals), we’re pouring out for a true Cleveland baseball legend.
