We jump into how we resolve conflict, how we remain best friends. We talk about how faith plays a part in our marriage and our toughest season and how we got through.     Kia Ora and welcome to Episode 46. In this episode I introduce you to my second child, my first daughter, Yuki. When my eldest turned 18 I sat him down and had a chat to him about how his first 18 years had gone. I kinda wish someone had done that for me, so figured I’d do that for each of my children. What were you like at 18? Do you wish you had a recording of your thoughts about your life so far? I sat with Yuki and had her talk to me about her childhood, friends, sports, church, family, adventures, school, houses lived in, love, heartbreak and future thoughts. It’s the end of a chapter for Yuki and the beginning of a new one. To have her sit down and chat with me about this chapter, was awesome. I’m excited for this next chapter in her life. So come listen to an 18 year olds perspective. Let’s hold space for her venerable thoughts and not hold it against ‘future Yuki’. Because, at the end of the day, our present is all we have and is built on our experiences of the past and what we’ve learned and how we’ve grown from those. Ka kite ano ou I a koutou.

Then she moved to a few places in Canada and resides there now. Leisl is a writer, actor, mother, wife and criminal justice helper. Leisl shares her story about each of these, but mostly about her writing experience as a published author of four fantasy books. It was epic and the better way to do it for sure. Mum shares with us her life from 12 years old to when she met my father. She wraps up a couple of lose ends from her first episode and then we dive into torture, sports, perverts and more.   • Ep. 38 Dana
    Kia Ora and welcome to episode thirty eight. In this episode I introduce you to Dana. Dana and Jason were married young and had five children. They were best friends and worked like yin and yang together. Jason was a lover of the outdoors and mountain biked whenever he could. He was full of lots of ideas to make biking better, in the community. He started a website, then had a crazy idea to make a yearly challenge to bike around 230 miles of trails for ‘fun’. Jason’s life was cut short before he could put it out there himself. Dana and Jason’s friends decided to go for it and started what we know as the ‘Boise Trails Challenge’ in memory of Jason and it’s been going ever since. Jason’s presence is still felt around the Boise community and Dana shares with us what her life was like before and after Jason’s passing. Her insights are informative, raw, educational and emotional. I look forward to you being able to get to know Dana and her story and to learn from what she’s learned, being thrust into a life and situation that she never asked for or expected.
