In March of 2001, 43-year old engineer Bernd Brandes from Berlin responded to an online advertisement to meet up with a computer repair technician named Armin Meiwes. After the pair hit it off, they would retreat back to Meiwes' home, where Brandes would take a large dose of sleeping pills, and be cannibalized.
