  • 45: 3 Steps to Achieving the Life You Dream About w/ Ronda Conger

Some people think she was raised by wolves. Others think she was raised by truckers. But really she was raised by this one core belief: that she could accomplish anything in the world if she had the right mindset.

Ronda Conger had a rough upbringing. For starters, her mother passed away in an accident when Ronda was just three years old. After that she was surrounded by people who just weren't the greatest. But she was determined to make a better life for herself — and she absolutely did.

Today, she's VP of the largest home builder in Idaho, author of three books, a wife, mother, blogger, and podcast host. Ronda came on this episode of the Cannonball Mindset podcast to share her story and to talk about how she intentionally pursued the life she dreamed of.

  • 43: How an 11-Year-Old Built The Philly Pretzel Factory w/ Dan DiZio

Work for yourself and work in the food business (because people will always need food). That was the advice Dan DiZio received from his father from a very young age.

Growing up, Dan lived next door to a family who owned a pretzel company. The father and his two sons would go into work at around three or four in the morning to twist and bake the pretzels and they'd hit the road by 9 AM to make their deliveries. They delivered their fresh pretzels to schools, hospitals, gas stations, etc.

Today, that's exactly what he's doing as the Philly Pretzel king. Or, more formally known as, the CEO and Co-Founder of the Philly Pretzel Factory.

What started as an 11-year-old kid selling pretzels 5 for $1 at a busy intersection in Philadelphia is now a booming franchise across 12 states. When you've spent this many years in business, you've learned a thing or two from experience. On this episode, Dan shares his store of start up and the many lessons he's learned along the way that have led to his incredible success.

  • 42: Creating Your Own Seat At The Table w/ Mollie Elkman

Fifty years ago Mollie's dad started Group Two Advertising.

He found a category that he loved, real estate, and created an ad agency to serve that market.

After many successful years, he started winding down. He called Molly and asked if she wanted to take over the business.

    Naturally, she took the plunge.

She came into the housing industry right after the market had its downfall. Everyone was going out of business. But she knew she had something new, something unique to bring to build the business back up.

And no surprise, Group Two is still thriving today.

Whenever I mention her name, people respond, "she's the one to know."

She's Mollie Elkman, President and Owner of Group Two Advertising.

Mollie is a trailblazer, known for making things happen.

She's got a great story and she came on this episode of the Cannonball Mindset podcast to share it, along with some of the great lessons she's learned along the way.

  • 41: Chad On The New Construction Marketing Podcast - Who Thinks You Are Superman?

Someone thinks you're Superman. It's because you impact their life in a profound way.

I was very fortunate to be featured on the New Construction Marketing Podcast, hosted by my friend Anya Chrisanthon, realtor and podcast host extraordinaire, to talk about my daily motivation and the mindset I want to share with others.

This is the key to sales: establishing authentic relationships of trust with others. The sales landscape has shifted. Where salespeople were once the gatekeepers to the deal, we are now the trusted advisors of well informed buyers.

We get to be part of their story!

The best way to become a better salesperson is by becoming a better human. When people do the right things for the right reasons, the return on investment always pays.

Start thinking of yourself as a contributor, and the catalyst is understanding your impact on this world.

  • 40: Why Culture and People Matter Most in Business w/ Peter Emmons

Peter is like the corporate Patch Adams - focused on the people in his company.

An entrepreneur from the start, he believes that creating a culture of joy and positivity makes a world of a difference. Caring for your people is what catapults your company to success.

Who are you sharing your company with? Peter, just like many business leaders, quickly realized that growth means delegation - a sharing of the creative responsibility, result ownership, and business success. This is trust, and it's difficult to do.

But he believes It's the small things that make you successful. Investing in your corporate culture creates an environment of growth and trust, allowing people to enter it and flourish. These are the people with whom you can share the vision for your business. They'll load the catapult.

Peter shared his baby steps toward success on this episode of Cannonball Mindset.
