The Catholic Church is in much bigger trouble than I thought… at least in this country. In fact, the vast majority of our brothers and sisters are riding an express train to hell, and nobody seems to be doing a damn thing about it. Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen prophesied that the laity would save the Church in America. I’m looking all around me to see who’ll take up the fight, and I don’t see a soul. So I guess it’s up to you and me.

Most men who’ve fought in a war don’t like talking about it. Maybe they kick it around with fellow war veterans from time to time, but most simply live with the memories. They live with the glory and the horrors, otherwise keeping their war memories away from polite company. I get that; it’s very understandable. 

I served in the army, but we weren’t fighting in any wars then. I have fought in a war as a Catholic, though. It’s a new kind of war, and it’s one I’m not anxious to talk about. It’s a war that’s been fought since the dawn of time, and now things in that war have advanced enough that it really needs to be exposed to the light of day.

There's a sudden resurgence of the promotion of minimum wage law increases on the state level. These laws are unjust and immoral on so many levels. You'll hear lots of Catholic social warriors promote them, but they're just being socialist, whether they realize or not it. Socialism, of course, has been absolutely condemned by eight different popes, despite that our current pontiff heretically adheres to it. 

We'll talk about the evils and injustices of minimum wage laws in this episode.

I recall the movie Road House starring Patrick Swayze as Dalton. In one scene after Dalton had been hurt, he was in the office of a doctor and soon to be girlfriend Kelly Doc Lynch to get stitches. Dalton had refused Novocain to deaden his skin in preparation for the needle used to sew his skin together. Doc asked him if he enjoyed pain. His reply is one Ive never forgotten Pain don't hurt.
