The Cappy's Cast

As a patio-based business, the weather is incredibly important. Lucky for us, WLWT's Meterologist, Randi Rico, is a long time Cappy's friend and customer. This week Ben and Randi sit down and talk about our upcoming event benefiting The Alzheimer's Association on Saturday, 4/20, and reminisce about their Ohio University days. 

From baseball to Base Vodka, Ben sits down this week to chat with Pete Levitt from Karrikin Spirits Company. They talk baijiu, hard craft sodas, the wonders of Florence, Kentucky, and Cincy's craft-alcohol scene. 

Ben's talking all things Dragon's Milk with Cappy's New Holland Brewing Co. Sales Rep, Bret Walters. Bret reveals the secret to getting Ben's attention and the two of them talk about our upcoming Brews for a Cure Event benefiting JDRF on 4/6, beer and donut pairings, and the woes of furniture delivery.

They also talk seltzers, Platform's most embarrassing delivery moment in Cappy's parking lot, and Phunkenship's coolship tower. It wouldn't be a Cappy's Cast episode without some tangents, though. We touch on mandatory drug testing, the Bobby Hart signing, and questionable wine rep business cards. 

This week Ben sits down with Tonya Baker from New Belgium Brewing Company. Ben and Tonya talk #FlagshipFebruary, rubber ducks, and the early days of craft beer. 

This one doesn't stay even remotely on topic, but that's ok -- that's sort of what we're going for here! 

Ben and Del talk date coding beers and the REAL reason why Cincinnati is such a mecca for craft beer on our inaugural podcast episode. He's been a Cappy's regular for years, so we couldn't think of a better person to launch this project with than the one and only beer-lebrity, Del Hall.
