The Captain's Log

Eric Manix’s video game history. You have all heard Eric Manix talk about comics and podcasting and photography, but what about video games? Maybe not. So, this week Eric runs us through the very first video game systems he had growing up as well as a few of his favorite games.

Episode 17. What if we had membership rings instead of membership cards? We would be walking around looking like pimps. We discuss the merits of those rings, plus the new Titans trailer in which Robin says the F word! Plus we talk a little bit about the whole fiasco with James Gunn getting fired.

Episode 16. DC comics recently announced that G. Willow Wilson will be writing Wonder Woman. Her work on Ms. Marvel is highly praised, so we cannot wait for her to take the reigns of Wonder Woman. Plus, Scarlett Johansson drops her role in Rub and Tug.

Episode 15. Eric and Kyle chat about everything from losing your debit card, to bags of milk, to the new DC comics streaming service, DC Universe.

Episode 14. We get breaking news from Snapchat. You can now delete messages that you sent to people. CRAZY! Eric couldn't make it, but Kyle and Melissa sit down and chat it up. Episode 12. Wait, isn't this the start of the feed? Yes, you'd be correct. So then why are you starting with episode 12? Well, even though we technically did record episodes that came before this one we felt those episodes were no longer representative of what this podcast is and turns into down the road. We decided to start with this episode as a way of giving some context as to what was happening behind the scenes at The Whatnauts. Essentially, Paul, one of the co-founders of The Whatnauts had stepped down and would no longer be associated with the brand. At the time, we had to put this show on hiatus after this episode as Kyle had to rethink how The Whatnauts was going to work moving forward. Thankfully, the show eventually continued.
