Welcome to Episode 8 of the Mind Your Career Business Podcast. I am Career Coach Kim and I'm excited you're here. Thank you. In these podcast episodes I will share what I have learned over my 36 year in the banking industry where I began as a secretary with no clear direction or vision for my career. Over the years, I returned to school and earned my Masters degree in Strategic Management. I've always had a love for writing which turned into a love for writing resumes which turned into a management career where I hired, encouraged, coached, and promoted employees for many years. My number one goal is to help and to encourage and build confidence in others. I wanted to take this passion and purpose to another level and decided to get certified as a Career Coach. I created an amazing 8 week career coaching program where I focus on a 3-tier coaching model of Insight, Growth, and Success. Currently, I am a Talent Acquisition Consultant where I work with managers to help find qualified candidates to fill open positions so reviewing resumes is a big part of my day. I love what I do!

I will share some encouraging news with you that’s it’s never to late to change or make a shift in your career. I don’t care how long you’ve been on your job or in your field. If you feel led to change…. there’s nothing to it but to do it!! My goal here is to encourage you to do what ever it is that you desire with your career!  No matter the length of time that you've been working, if you feel unfulfilled and feel led to change -- plan for it and then do it!  

In my 36 year career in banking, I continued to learn and grow and move. The more I discovered about me, the easier it was to steer my career and you can do the same!!

Be intentional about your career!

How do you know when it's time to move on from your current job?  In this and upcoming episodes of the Mind Your Career Business Podcast, I will be sharing my own personal experiences with work and my career, what I've witnessed, and what I've learned during my 36 year career in banking, management, teaching, and career coaching.

When our shoes or clothes become to tight -- ill fitting, we purchase a different size, right.  When we outgrow friends, we get new ones or we end the relationship.  It is imperative that we take inventory to what's going on around us at work and how we feel about the things going on around us or that are happening to us in the work place.  Once you take inventory of these things, it's time to determine if the job still fits as well as it did when you first started and then decide whether it's time to get a better fitting job.  In these 10 signs that it's time to move on, my goal is that you are equipped to make this decision for yourself.  I did!  I've taken inventory, I've been in a place where the job was not allowing me to grow...or GLOW.  Take a listen, I hope this helps you.
