Pastor Megan and Pastor Kevin discuss Acts 8:26-31, 35-39. A big part of this story is the dramatic difference between these two men and their willingness to learn from and with each other anyway. Who do we tend to leave out of important conversations? What could we learn when we are a true, full community? There is a willingness both to teach and to learn. We are all called to this.

Pastor Megan and Pastor Kevin discuss Acts 6:1-7. This can sound a little harsh, like the disciples are trying to punt on taking care of others. But they see the need and see they aren’t equipped for it. We frequently hear scripture tell us that there are many gifts and they are all needed for the good of God’s work in the world. How will we honor and uplift that? Part of the joy of being in one space at Easter now is that we can see the fullness of our community and the many ways we work together to serve.

Sometimes we struggle to state our faith clearly and boldly. How can you learn what you believe and practice it meaningfully so you can be clear about it in hard times? It’s not just about verbally bearing witness. It’s about having the confidence to do what needs to be done for your neighbor even when there is pressure not to.
