But before she took on all those hats, she was a daughter, worried for her mother. You see LaLana’s mother disappeared 20 years ago and it never sat right with her. Living in a post 9/11 world, it truly is a mind boggling concept to consider hijacking a plane and getting away with it. Today, we think of the tragedies like 9/11 and it’s no wonder that the security cracked down so hard. But before there were all these precautions and protections, there was D.B. Cooper. A prominent doctor wakes up to his wife brutally murdered and there are two options here: he did it, or someone else got away with the perfect murder. But this case goes down in history for even more than that. It is a foundational case on how we navigate the balance between freedom of the press, and the right to a fair trial. My friends, we are going to SCHOOL today.

When two 16 year old girls come home from school to find their mother murdered, its traumatizing to say the least. I randomly came across this episode of Dateline NBC, called Bad Blood and (trust me) by the end of this episode your jaw is going to hit the floor. The suspect list seems promising, and there is definitely some family drama that needs to be looked at, but in the end you guys are going to find out exactly what happened to Nikki Whitehead.

You guys…this is a weird one. It takes SO MANY twists and turns, pun intended, that your head is going to be spinning. Thankfully *prayer hands* Helen has pieced together a timeline so we can try to understand what happened to the Tromp family. The story of the Tromps made its way into the media and captured the Australian public as they wondered how a family could have become so strangely and suddenly separated, lost, and then found with no explanation.
