January 26 in Australia marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British ships in Port Jackson, New South Wales, and the raising of the Flag of Great Britain at Sydney Cove by Governor Arthur Philip. It is Australia day, a public holiday that is celebrated by many. It is also the day that the three Beaumont children disappeared without a trace in 1966.

Disappeared Season 2 Episode 10

When a retired school teacher manages to vanish, but still sends letters and pays bills, authorities don’t immediately take action. However, when the letters are examined and the footage at the post office is examined, this may be more alarming than it seemed on it’s face.  Hands down, this case and everything that goes along with it, makes for one of the most bizarre missing persons cases in U.S. history.

By the time Matthew Shepard finished high school he had already traveled to Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, and Morocco. He loved traveling and could just make friends anywhere he went. But his real passions were politics and advocating for equality in the LGBTQ+ community. Matthew’s work would eventually be cut short after being assaulted in one of the most notorious anti-gay hate crimes in American history.

The Chicago Metropolitan area was shaken up in the fall of 1982. In just a few short days, seven people died of cyanide poisoning after taking what they believed to be regular-old Tylenol. Panic struck the entire state of Illinois, and changed the way we get over the counter drugs forever.
