Sometimes taking a leap of faith (literally) can come from a life-altering experience that leads us to rethink our direction in life and reprioritize what we know we are meant to do. After today’s guest went cliff jumping, she was hit with the realization that she has one life so she may as well live the life she’s always wanted. This week on Journeys Through Change (formerly known as Go Go Bistro), my guest Caley Rose and I are talking about how jumping off a cliff led her to launch her singing career and empower students through music.
5 years ago, Caley Rose was doing voice over work when she decided to take a trip to NZ. After an epic cliff dive in Queenstown, she came home with a new perspective on life. She had taken her first leap - and now she knew it was time to take her second - to pursue a career as a professional singer and songwriter. She signed up for songwriting school in LA and never looked back. As a result of that life-changing step, Caley has become a billboard charting artist and musical mindset advocate who has been featured on Top 40 radio, TV, commercials, and film. Using her experience of being bullied in middle school to fuel her, Caley created her Music with a Message program to bring confidence tools into schools by using the power of music and regularly partners with women’s and children’s charities across the country to share her methodology. She is truly an inspiration to us all.
In this episode, Caley Rose and I discuss:
Someone out there is living the life of your dreams so I dare you to ask yourself, ‘Why not me?’

Have you ever considered stepping out of your day-to-day to get a fresh perspective on life and immerse yourself in a new culture or way of living? Have you avoided doing so because you’re always beholden to someone else’s schedule?
Today’s guest decided to stop letting life get in her way and began solo traveling the world. Good news for you, she shares the insight she gained and her advice so you can do it too. This week on Journeys Through Change (formerly known as Go Go Bistro), my guest Pamela Holt and I are talking about how her love of adventure and storytelling led her to host her own travel show.
Pamela Holt is no stranger to solo travel. She was led into it by her sense of adventure and drive to overcome a debilitating accident that left her making a promise to herself she was determined to keep. Born in California and raised on the beautiful island of Oahu, Pamela studied theatre and film at UCLA where she developed a passion for storytelling. She went on to pursue her acting and musical theatre career and her star began to rise as she found herself duetting with Barry Manilow at the Hollywood Palladium and selling her first indie film, “The Three Amigas” at Cannes Short Film Festival.
Unfortunately, her plans came to a screeching halt when she experienced a traumatic car accident at the age of 35 that left her immobilized. Only a few years later she was hit by another driver and after extensive spinal surgery, she knew her long road of recovery would mean abandoning her acting and singing pursuits.
She then made a promise to herself as she was being wheeled into surgery that she would travel 80 countries by the time she was 50. Now in her 50s, Pamela has certainly made good on her promise- she’s journeyed to over 81 countries and along the way, began working as a travel reporter and host while documenting content from her travels.
Pamela is a producer, creator, and host of her new show, Me, Myself & The World: The Art of Solo Travel, a new TV series now streaming on Amazon Prime and Go Traveler, which is a love letter to the journey of rediscovering oneself and embracing second chances, or better yet, second acts.

I believe the way you treat yourself is closely related to what you’re willing to do to improve your quality of life. When we aren’t taking good care of ourselves, we’re sending subtle messages that we are not worthy of our own attention and care- and that can get in the way of progress on so many levels. This comes heavily into play when we use instant gratification to distract ourselves from the messiness and unpredictableness of life. This week on Journeys Through Change (formerly known as Go Go Bistro), I’m talking about changing your unhealthy habits to create the life you want!
In this episode, I discuss:
As you continue to become more aware of how you operate- especially in times of discomfort or challenge- and start to overcome those subtle self-imposed habits that are getting in the way of you showing up fully present in your life, the more connected you become to your wants and desires. This makes creating the life you want so much easier.

Ending any serious relationship can be both emotionally and financially devastating. Regaining that financial stability can be complicated when starting over and when children and livelihood are at stake, it only adds to the magnitude of anxiety piling up. Today’s guest shares how divorce and bankruptcy gave her the courage to rebuild her financial security and how she now educates and empowers other moms (and their kids) to shift their mindset around money.
This week on Journeys Through Change (formerly known as Go Go Bistro), my guest Eileen Joy and I are talking about how divorce and bankruptcy gave her the courage to build financial security and teach other women to do the same.
Eileen Joy, founder of Money School for Moms and host of the Moms Who Money podcast started her business after building her own financial security and encouraging others to do the same. Like many of us, Eileen never learned about money in school (& neither did our kids) so she set out to help women change their financial literacy. As a money and mindset coach, she combines everything she knows about the power of mindset with a proven system to fill your bank accounts and help you create your dream life.
In this episode, Eileen and I discuss:
Your money affects your life and your life affects your money. Your money is there to keep you safe and secure and to provide fun, freedom, and choice. But we're not taught that.

At the most fundamental level, everything in the universe is composed of energy that is vibrating at different frequencies. In addition to this, every object, substance, being, thought and emotion has its own unique vibrational frequency that can be positively or negatively charged. As we become conscious of the frequencies we are putting out into the world, we can consciously and intentionally maintain positivity through our thoughts and feelings. This week on Journeys Through Change (formerly known as Go Go Bistro), I am talking about using the power of the law of vibration to create a better life.
In this episode, I discuss:
Keep your energy high, set your intention, and trust that the universe will match it and likely offer up something well beyond your expectations.

As women, we are naturally born caretakers and multitaskers, often putting everyone else first while neglecting our own self-care and health in the process. Healthcare workers only add another layer onto this, especially with the daily demands within the profession in even the best of times. This week on Journeys Through Change (formerly known as Go Go Bistro), my guest Michelle Gordon and I are talking about how overcoming burnout, addiction recovery, and leaving her 25-year nursing career brought her life into balance.
Michelle Gordon has been a health care professional for 25 years with 8 years spent in emergency nursing. She was working exhausting hours, and living a life of fear, lack and scarcity – when she had a life changing moment that led her to addiction recovery and a new identity away from the career she felt had defined her for so many years. Today, Michelle shares how extreme burnout forced her to leave behind the long hours of nursing to embrace a healthier and more satisfying pace of health coaching – AND the challenges she faced taking on this new persona.
In this episode, Michelle and I discuss:
Lean into the fear, resistance, and discomfort you are feeling because just beyond that, something beautiful is waiting for you.

Setting an intention is the act of stating what you intend to accomplish through your actions. It’s a commitment to what you want your journey to be about as you move forward in your life. And when you set an intention, the first step is opening yourself up to the possibility that a particular outcome can actually happen. This requires a leap and letting go of the old beliefs that may be causing you to doubt your potential success. This week on Journeys Through Change (formerly known as Go Go Bistro), I’m talking about:
In this episode, I am sharing how to step into the role of the creator and actively participate in the forward movement of your life. I also leave you with an exercise you can try today to begin setting intentions toward the life you want to live.
The 5 steps you can take today to invite possibility into your life are:
1. Being open to exploration.
2. Breaking boundaries and limitations.
3. Having imagination and creativity.
4. Adapting a growth mindset.
5. Taking action.

Have you ever felt so captivated by an interest or pastime that it drew you in and wouldn’t let you go or toyed with the idea of creating something bigger out of it, only to shake your head and pass it off as an unrealistic dream?
Life can take us on a wild, yet rewarding ride when we surrender to the persistent little tug inside of us, even when the outside world may be pointing us in a different direction. This week on Journeys Through Change (formerly known as Go Go Bistro), my guest Kai Chase and I are talking about the power of reinvention- from music journalist to A-list celebrity chef and founder of a thriving culinary and lifestyle brand.
In the late 80s, Kai Chase began her career as a staff writer for a weekly music industry publication called the Urban Network, interviewing the top music and radio talent of the time. She then segued into music publishing as her career continued to rise. All the time Kai was working in the music industry, her true desire was revealing itself when she would literally fall asleep reading The Joy of Cooking - and spend her leisure hours dreaming up healthy and creative dishes that mimicked the comforting standard recipes she enjoyed as a child.
After following her heart, Kai went on to receive her professional culinary training from the famed Le Cordon Bleu academy in Paris, and in addition to having served as a private chef to A-lister celebrities, she has worked at several well-known restaurants, including Pamela Anderson’s Sanctuary and Wolfgang Puck Catering and Events. She is now known for her modern and contemporary approach to New American cuisine.

When we make a change in our lives, although it’s bound to shake things up, we’re typically able to usher it in and take the time needed to get used to our new state of life. But when a loved one is faced with a sudden health crisis, there is no time to prepare for the ground to shift beneath us. We’re forced to face, head-on, the reality of our own mortality and more seriously honor the fragility of life. This week on Journeys Through Change (formerly known as Go Go Bistro), my guest Karen Hager and I are talking about the family health crisis that led her out of retirement and into teaching brain health!
After Berniece’s husband contracted sepsis that went into his brain, she experienced a short-term glimpse of life with someone whose brain was “broken”. This incident halted her 12-year, post-retirement “gig” as a part-time wellness coach and turned her focus solely to brain health. With the pandemic limiting her options, she plunged into the world of online coaching. With the support of her biggest cheerleaders, her grandchildren, she received her certification as a brain health professional and launched her online business, Keep Your Brain Sharp at almost 70 years old.

What if I told you that our daily struggles to feel good enough, prove ourselves, gain success, and show the world we’re worthy are all driven by a colossal lie? That lie is our limiting beliefs and the false narratives we’re often unconsciously hanging onto as a result of our own life experiences. This week on Journeys Through Change (formerly known as Go Go Bistro), I’m talking about overcoming limiting beliefs.
In this episode, I discuss:
It is important to recognize that not all beliefs are bad. We just want to tackle the ones acting as roadblocks and keeping us from moving forward towards opportunities.
