I used to just say it was the 5 known W's - who what where when why and oh no - HOW? IDK was often the answer to these questions. Questions whose answers or lack of them left me drowning, feeling like I was being pulled under by quick sand.

These 5 W's however - will change everything.

I get church hurt. I get how much it hurts to go to church to break the cycle of feeling like you're not good enough just to feel like you'll never measure up. That you'll never be enough (that's an identity of shame) - not simply guilt.

And that's what you may be going to church to heal yet feel it's causing more of what you desire to not feel in the first place.

Keep your eyes on Jesus - Go to HIM - not just the church (the building and other people). God calls us to follow Him. Not follow guilt or who shame says we are. We are not! Not called to carry shame. This is a tactic the enemy employs and it's even employed in churches (the buildings) because it comes into church through our minds.

It's time to ask God himself to come into our hearts and bring everything we're going through to Him! and to let go of the story of who we're not.

WHAT! - Have you ever thought this when you heard someone call your name?

Thank God (literally) that He's not like me & that He makes me more like Him. For He is the greatest parent any of us could ever have. I only have moments of connection that I feel are as good as He is.
