The word gentleness can sound unappealing– like being meek. But, that’s a complete misunderstanding of the word. It means “strength under control.” The world is often forceful, harsh, and demanding. In “Gentleness, “ Pastor Dave Gustavsen reminds us of a powerful other way of living – a way that is gentle and humble in heart.

In this week’s message on Goodness, Pastor Ted looks at why being “good” is impossible to do on our own. When we appreciate how good God is to us, and allow His Spirit to fill us with goodness, we can live it out and experience God’s blessing while blessing those around us.

In life, we can experience good things on the outside, but that doesn’t guarantee joy on the inside. The converse is also true: just because we have hard things and painful things happening on the outside, that doesn’t mean we lack joy on the inside. In, “Joy,” Pastor Dave Gustavsen reveals the source and surprise of real joy – something deeper than happiness, that is not dependent on circumstances. This joy comes only from nearness to God.
