3/13/19 The Charlie Pallilo Show Hour 1

The show starts with a look at breaking news as Odell Beckham Jr. was traded to the Cleveland Browns and Charlie breaks down what this means for the league and the overall talent level of the Browns. With the Astros season opener only 15 days away, Charlie covers some of the Astros spring training status as well as news that pitching prospect Francis Martes has been suspended for 80 games following a positive test for PED’s. Charlie ends on an in depth look at the free agency moves already made since the period for roster movement started in the NFL.

Charlie dives into the Rockets and what their realistic expectations should be given their roster and the Western Conference playoff picture heading into the last 20 games of the season. Then Charlie breaks down some of the high-profile NFL moves such as ODB’s trade and Leveon Bell’s signing with the Jets. Finally Charlie is joined by longtime voice of the Warriors Tim Roye as the two discusses the Warriors and their matchup later tonight against the Rockets.

Charlie starts the first hour with the Rockets winning streak and the beginning of the start of the Texans’ free agency period and transitions to the biggest free agent s picked up. He gives keen insight on the treatment of Astros Star Alex Bregman. Charlie goes into Coach D’Antoni’s comments after last night game and highlights their next big game vs. Warriors. Charlie then talks UH basketball on their success, what they need to do to finish their season strong, and where they will be likely placed in the NCAA Tournament. Charlie brings up the Dallas Keuchel “sweepstakes” and how surprisingly it has not gone in Keuchel’s favor. He turns his attention to Astros catcher situation and why it’s a minor issue instead of a major one, and the jacked up ticket prices the Astros have set for the upcoming season. Charlie is joined by UH basketball Head Coach Kelvin Sampson.

The last hour of the show starts with Charlie discussing the challenges that may factor against UH’s basketball important game coming this Sunday versus the 20th ranked Cincinnati Bearcats. Charlie turns his attention to the Texans free agent needs, why OL Trent Brown should be on the top of their list of free agents, and the need to catch up to the Colts who have built a better roster than the Texans. He then dissects the Rockets remaining schedule and why they should be favored to win in all of their games. Charlie is joined with The Sugar Land Skeeters GM Tyler Stamm. They discuss how the MLB is experiencing new potential rules changes in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Charlie describes how surprising it is to hear Rasheed Wallace becoming a High School Head Coach.
