We jump back to a special moment in our Charlie Tonic / Bottoms Up history. In episode #14 of this very show, we sat down with a brewery that was just beginning to make a real name for itself in the city; MadTree Brewing. They were 18 months into their life as a company back in 2013 and this interview provided an amazing glimpse at three guys who stood just on the verge of something incredible. As we wrote in the show notes at the time...

Four years ago, Charlie attended a panel at the 2014 San Antonio Cocktail conference that introduced him to barrel aged gin. He's been talking about it ever since as an example of regional distilleries doing amazing things. A chance encounter at the 2018 conference allowed him to reconnect with Treaty Oak, the distillery that blew him away all those years ago.
