This is the final part of our 2 part series on the topic of forgiveness. Part 2, which is Episode 4, talks about taking your power back in forgiveness.
When you choose to forgive those who hurt you, you take away their power. For many people, forgiveness may mean letting the person off the hook. On the contrary, forgiving does not excuse the other person's behavior, nor does it justify it or make it right. Choosing to forgive in no way makes you the weaker person. In fact, that you choose to move on from an offense is actually a sign of great power and self-control. If you'd also like to learn about some emotions and feelings associated with forgiveness, then hit the play button, and let's continue the final part of our forgiveness series.
I believe forgiveness is an important discussion that will help you on your mental wellness journey so let's jump into the discussion.
Some things you'll walk away with from listening to this episode:
You take back your power by choosing to demonstrate and or display positive, empowering emotions.
Choosing to forgive means you are focused, and you have chosen who or what to pour your energy into.
You first have to find forgiveness in yourself in order to be able to give to others.I would like to personally invite you to join the Holy Spirit and me on this podcast journey as we take our thoughts captive and submit them to Christ. With the promises and authority of God's word combined with tried and true practical applications from the field of psychology and mental health, we will study and develop our emotional and spiritual first aid kits together. We'll learn how to challenge our thoughts, adjust our habits, clarify our feelings, and calm ourselves down so we can hear God speak to us in times of emotional and spiritual attacks.
