Gretha Helberg who uses Photo Polymer etching to present her artwork – Polymer etching is an intaglio printmaking technique which uses UV light but she uses sunlight to transfer an image to a pre-sensitized plate. The plate is then developed in water, inked and printed in the traditional intaglio manner.

MADE IN SA - Ambani Africa, an Educational technology app that teaches learners their mother-tongue. Electrical engineer by day and future enthusiast by night, Nkululeko Lambani together with his sister Mukundi Lambani are the founders of Ambani Africa a company which was founded in 2018 to offer interactive mother-tongue education for K-12 learners. Starting as a simple idea of addressing the under-representation of South African languages, Ambani developed a free language app that offers six African language options. “Ambani”, which means to speak in Tshivenda, is today a South African EdTech start-up that offers multiple solutions for both private and public sector beneficiaries. African languages and cultures are digitally under- represented.

Lebohang Kganye is a South African visual artist living and working in Johannesburg. Working primarily with photography, Lebohang Kganye incorporates sculpture, performance, installation and film in her creative practice. She is the sixteenth winner of the internationally renowned Foam Paul Huf Award. Last week a jury of five industry specialists chose this year’s winner, out of around 100 nominees selected by 23 nominators from 21 countries. The Foam Paul Huf Award is presented annually to an upcoming photography talent to encourage photographers in their artistic development. Lebohang Kganye will receive a cash prize of € 20,000 and a solo exhibition at Foam Fotografiemuseum in Amsterdam. She will see her name added to an impressive list of alumni. Last year John Edmonds (1989, US) was the winner of the Foam Paul Huf Award. His solo exhibition A Sidelong Glance is currently on show at Foam and can be seen until 19 June 2022. Lebohang is one of three artists representing South Africa in upcoming the Venice Biennale with her work B(l)ack to Fairytales

Pathi is a qualified Architecture who has sought the fashion retail route. She has created her own jewellery brand called InKaturah. She left work to pursue this dream full time. Unlike many brands InKaturah does not buy their products and resell to the market. They design and make everything from scratch themselves. Every piece is unique and it is limited. The brand has been featured by Essentials Magazine and her range has been worn by celebrities such as Lira and other SA celebrities. She has also collaborated with Amarula.
