The short film, Amagama ka Nokutela

Nokutela Mdima-Dube who was a visionary, author, musician and scholar’s

story is being highlighted and brought to life in a Legacy Creates project titled Amagama kaNokutela, a collaboration with magazine editor, stylist and creative director Asanda Sizani; photographer Thalente Khomo; several writers, including poet Siphokazi Jonas; and actress Nokuthula Mavuso as Nokutela.

Playing her is talented South African actress who bears a striking resemblance to her, Nokuthula Mavuso.

Vuyani Dance Theatre’s Cion: Requiem of Ravel’s Bolero has returned to Johannesburg for a eight day season at The Mandela at Joburg Theatre from 28 January until 06 February 2022 accompanied by the Soweto Gospel Choir.

The Production of Cion: Requiem of Ravel’s Bolero will be taking place from the 28th of January – 6th of February 2022.

The Zeitz of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) will be presenting an exhibition called Shooting Down Babylon, a large-scale retrospective exhibition by South African multimedia artist Tracey Rose.

The exhibition is derived from the title of Rose’s iconic installation Shooting Down Babylon (The Art of War 2016), which reflects on varied exorcist and cleansing rituals, the retrospective will interrogate several themes, including repatriation, recompense and reckoning

Stage Play ‘The Voice’ coming to the Soweto Theatre

After a successful run at the Joburg Theatre stage play, The Voice is coming

to Soweto theatre . It will be on from Thursday 27th to 30th January 2022. Recently,

this GBV Awareness production was on for two consecutive days at the Joburg

Theatre and both performances were sold out. A production created by award

winning veteran actor Sello MaakeKaNcube and Abafazi Bengoma brings attention to

the vestiges of colonialism and apartheid on the black family.
