As we mature in Christ, we must:

Be honest, control our emotions, be generous, and speak with grace.

The unsaved live in sin, but we can live the new life we receive from Christ.

Victorious Jesus gave us gifts of His love

to equip for ministry & loving, Jesus-like maturity. In His love, Jesus gave us gifts to help us grow up to maturity so that we resemble Him in how we love each other. Are you growing up? Is your part of the body working properly?

Our relationships with each other must reflect our relationship with the Triune God who lovingly saved us. Our relationships with each other either magnify God’s glory or lie about what kind of God He is. What story do your relationships with other people tell?

Many Christians believe the Gospel and are saved, but then think that they must grow in sanctification by their own efforts. This is exactly backwards. God's love (as revealed supremely in the Gospel) is meant to be a continually growing part of our Christian experience, which empowers and enables our obedience as we respond in love to the One who loved us by growing ever more like Him. Thus, love from God produces love for God that results in holiness.

God mysteriously saves unlikely people and then sends them out on His gospel mission, using them to bring other unlikely people to faith in Jesus Christ. Have you joined God's Gospel Mission?

Through Jesus Christ, we gain new access to the Father, receive new citizenship as part of the people of God, become members of a new family, obtain a new way of worship as God's presence indwells us, and are under new ownership as God takes over our lives. Therefore, we should 1) be making regular use of our new access to the Father, 2) prioritize advancing the Kingdom through the Gospel and 3) building relationships with my new family, 4) join together with other believers who are part of God's new temple, and 5) purge from my life everything that might defile my life and make it less suitable as God's dwelling place.

God saved you by grace alone through faith alone so that your transformed life would bless other people. If God has graciously saved me for good works, then how does my life bless other people?

Trust Jesus in ALL circumstances. Trust Jesus when the winds of life blow against you. Trust Jesus when you are afraid. Trust Jesus to do the impossible. Trust Jesus when your faith is small. Trust Jesus because Jesus is God's Son!
