Alex Stone, ABC News Correspondent - San Francisco is the first major city in the country to mandate proof of full vaccination in order to enter businesses like bars, restaurants, museums, clubs, and theaters. It comes as doctors in the city say it appears San Francisco is the first major city in the country to see the current delta variant surge plateauing. Cases are still rising but at a slower pace and they predict they’ll begin falling within about two weeks based on current trajectories. Vaccines are required for San Francisco city employees and the city is recommending thatremaining police, firefighters, and sheriff’s deputies who have not proven they’ve been vaccinated be suspended without pay, and may eventually be fired.
